Gander Island River Log Cabin rates and information

The two cabins are built on the bank of the South Fork of the Shenandoah, across from Gander Island, in a 7.5 acre meadow. The spring fed trout pond is on one end and the historic Gander Farmstead (where David's parents live) is on the other end of the acreage with the cabins in the middle. These cabins are the perfect place to relax in the country and be by the Shenandoah River!

The cabins have a queen bed bedroom with a propane fireplace, a mini-kitchen with microwave/toaster oven, coffee maker, stove top, refrigerator but no oven; shower stall bathroom; a living room with a doublebed futon and an entertainment center with a Satellite TV; and a loft area with a double bed. The cabins are set up to sleep 6. The cabins have heat and AC. On the patio under each cabin is the Hot Tub and nearby a picnic table and charcoal grill. The cabins are 'pet friendly' and 'smoke-free'.

The cabins are located on 7.5 acres with a large open area for picnicking, volleyball, sun bathing and relaxing. Or you might be fishing, swimming, tubing or canoeing right from the banks.

The cabins are on stilts 14 ft up so that there will be even a better view of the Shenandoah River and the Massanutten Mountain. Do visit the Construction Page to see how they were built.

Weekends - Friday, Saturday (2 night min) Holiday weekends (3 night min)	$165 per night
Midweek days-Sunday through Thursday	$140 per night
Monday to Friday - 4 nights	$480 for the partial week- 4 nights
Sunday to Sunday - 7 nights	$850 for 7 nights

The Gander Island cabins are so close to so much to do! Luray is 5 minutes away with Luray Caverns, Luray Zoo, many restaurants, shops; Shenandoah River Outfitters is 15 minutes way with canoe, kayak, raft and tube rentals from April 1 to Nov 15; Luray Golf course and airport are 4 minutes away. Shenandoah National Park entrance is 15 minutes away for great hiking and nature education. GerogeWashington National Forest is 8 minutes west of the cabins. New Market Civil War museums are 20 minutes away.
