The style of cabin is the same as built by Shenandoah River Outfitters. Lisa Sottosanti Gander is the Outfitter manager and knows these cabins inside and out. She encouraged her husband, David, to built these two as a supplement to farming. The Goose and the Gander make the perfect cabin for a country retreat. The log construction just adds to the feel of the country. The set-up inside makes for a cozy place to relax. The cabin has a bedroom with a queen size bed; the living area has a double bed futon; the loft has a double bed. We have a Satellite TV in the living room. The mini kitchen has all the kitchen items, coffee maker, microwave, stove top etc. It just doesn't have an oven. There is a charcoal grill and picnic table outside. A 6-person Hot Tub is located underneath each cabin.
The river cabins are located on 7.5 acres on the Shenandoah River and have a spring fed trout pond along with 1000' of river frontage.

The Gander Island Cabins are very close to Luary Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, New Market Battlefields, Luray airport and golf course and so much more!
